Alpbach Summer School on European Integration in Kiev 2011

The European Forum Alpbach (Austria), the Initiative Group of the European Forum Alpbach in Kiev, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy jointly conduct the Alpbach Summer School on European Integration in Kiev 2011 (ASSEI in Kiev 2011).

ASSEI in Kiev 2011 project undertakes the model, program and the lecturers of the Alpbach Summer School on European Integration, designed and organized by European Forum Alpbach and the Institute of International Public Law, European Law and International Relations – University of Innsbruck. It offers a comprehensive course on the law and policies of the European Community (EC) and the European Union (EU) www.igkiev-alpbach.org.ua.

Target audience:

ASSEI in Kiev 2011 invites youth up to 35 years to enjoy the challenge of European integration intensive learning experience of two weeks - in the picturesque setting of Kyiv district and in a multi-cultural atmosphere. This year Summer School is designed to assist students in acquiring a basic understanding of the EC-EU, an intensive basic course the EU Law to equip with the skills required to analyze socio-economic and legal issues of European integration and, more generally, to introduce them to a culture and practice of animated debate of contemporary problems facing European integration.

Fees and costs:

Registration fee is Euro 70 for students from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, and Euro 100 for youth from other countries. No travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed. The organizers, however, will provide accommodation assistance. Accommodation cost is Euro 35 per day.

Main Lectors of ASSEI in Kiev 2011 runs under the overall direction of Prof. Friedl Weiss (Institute of European, International and Comparative Law, University of Vienna), Jurgen Bush (Institute of European, International and Comparative Law, University of Vienna).

Place –  National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kyiv, Ukraine.

All participants shall register for the ASSEI 2011 on Monday from 8:30 a.m.

 

3) Gathering spot for the ASSEI 2011

Gathering spot:  the Campus of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kiev, Voloska str. 8/5. Building 5, room 313.

 

4) Late arrival

We kindly ask all those participants who will arrive later to let us know in time. In accordance with the rules of the ASSEI 2011, the applicant who would not attend more than tree lectures would not be permitted to pass the exam and receive the diploma.
